You must subscribe in order to receive or post messages. Please follow the guidelines and examples below if you wish to subscribe.

CODE OF CONDUCT The Glass Links Discussion List is a private List owned and moderated by the undersigned for the benefit of glass ornament collectors.  The Moderator shall have the sole and exclusive authority to determine, among other things, membership, rules of conduct, content, and what constitutes civilized behavior.  Within the sole and exclusive discretion of the Moderator, membership may be automatically suspended or terminated at will.  Suspensions will be for duration of 30 calendar days after which time a subscriber may reapply for membership.  The nominal fee charged for participating in the List will not be refunded if a membership is suspended or terminated for any cause.  Additionally, the fee will not be refunded for membership cancellations unless approved by the Moderator. By voluntarily subscribing to the Glass Links mail list, I agree to abide by the following guidelines: 1. Do not send attachments to the mail list. If you have an image that you would like to share, please send it privately to <porcherc@earthlink.net>. I will post the image and create a link to it for viewing. 2. Please clip unimportant information from your "replies" to the list. This includes signature files and footers that may be part of the message to which you are responding, which will keep digest file sizes to a minimum. 3. Remember to check the "TO" heading before sending your response to a member so that your personal mail does not become "public" (OOPS!). If you do make an error, please to not compound it with a public apology. That further clutters mailboxes. 4. When replying, please remember to check your "Subject" line so that it contains a "real" subject topic and not something like "Re: GLASS_ORNAMENTS-D Digest V04 #345". Archived messages are grouped by subject line and meaningful subject lines are easier to search. 5. Do not send unsubscribe messages to the whole list. To unsubscribe, use the web interface (http://www.tinyurl.com/givo) or contact me privately (mailto:porcherc@ earthlink.net) 6. Do not send jokes, chain letters, and virus warnings etc. to the whole list. How do you know if the information you’d like to send is genuine or a hoax? Simply do a search with your favorite search engine (I use http://www.google.com) for the item in question. You'll find the answer almost immediately. If you still believe that your information should be shared, please forward it to me. (See address in #5) 7. If you stop receiving the list messages, it means that you have probably been placed on "HOLD" due to bounces. The server will automatically re-set your address after several successful emails to the list on your part. Check the online interface or contact the moderator (see address in #5) NOTE TO AOL USERS: Be cautious when you block email addresses as SPAM. If you inadvertently block a Glass Links subscriber, that will create a bounce for your email address each time that individual posts.  Additionally, the mail list software automatically interprets a “spam” report as a request to unsubscribe from the mail list. 8. To change your email address, change your subscription mode of to put your mail on "hold" for vacation, please go to: http://tinyurl.com/givo Log in with your email address & password. Click on "YOUR SETTINGS" ... you can change your email address in the box ... OR Select the "STATUS" option and choose from among 6 mail mode options. 9. Do not use the Glass Links to solicit bids for an ornament that you wish to sell. This list is not designed for that purpose. If you wish to sell an item competitively, eBay is an excellent place. 10. Sign your posts and think about what you have written before you send it. 11. Please be polite, courteous and respectful of others both in public messages and in private communication between members where reference is made to content posted to the List.  Messages posted to the List are proprietary information that shall not be disseminated to nonmembers nor used for any other purposes without prior approval by the Moderator.  Dissemination of proprietary information, attempts to control content, membership and other matters will be considered uncivilized behavior subject to the above sanctions, contrary precedent notwithstanding. Excessive, impolite, discourteous, disrespectful, or uncivil communications to the Moderator or to another member are cause for automatic suspension or termination.  Suspensions or terminations need not be announced to the List at large. 12. Failure to comply with Glass Links code of conduct may result in suspension or termination of your mail list subscription.
